Jupiter Enters Leo on 31 October: From Player to Guide, Without Any Fear
This week, cricket fans got a nice surprise. Kieron Pollard, a player Mumbai Indians fans have cheered for years, was promoted to head coach of the team.
Think about that change. For years, his job was to perform. To hit the ball, win the match, be seen. Now his job is to guide. To help others perform. To share what he has learnt.
That is a beautiful way to understand a big planet change coming this week.
On Saturday, 31 October 2026, Jupiter (Guru) enters Leo (Simha). As per Drik Panchang, the entry is at 12:50 PM (New Delhi time).
Many people will hear this news and ask, "Is it good for my rashi or bad?" Let's not do that. In the SALSA® Method of Astrology, no planet is bad and no transit is a punishment.
Darr nahi, samajh. Let's understand it.
First, the SALSA® basics in one minute
The SALSA® Method of Astrology keeps it very simple:
- Houses are situations. Home, work, money, partners, children, learning.
- Planets are behaviours and actions. How we act in those situations.
- Signs (rashis) are expectations. What a situation expects from us.
- Transits are modifications. A moving planet changes the situation where that sign sits in your chart.
So a transit is not "luck coming" or "trouble coming." It is a change in one situation of your life. Your job is to notice which one, and respond well.
What does Leo expect?
Leo is the sign of the Sun. Wherever Leo sits in your chart, that situation expects:
- to be seen and respected
- to lead, not just follow
- confidence and self-expression
- dignity, doing things with pride and heart
What does Jupiter bring?
Jupiter is the planet of wisdom. In the SALSA® Method of Astrology, Jupiter's learning is life philosophy: values, meaning, guidance and good advice. (Mercury is the one for exams and skills. Jupiter is the one for "why".)
Jupiter's behaviour is to teach, to guide, to mentor, to ask "What is the right thing to do here?" and to grow things with patience.
Put them together: leadership with wisdom
When Jupiter moves into Leo, the situation where Leo sits in your chart gets a new behaviour. Where you want to shine, Jupiter says, "Shine, but also guide."
This is exactly the Pollard story. Leo wants the spotlight. Jupiter turns the spotlight into a classroom.
A few simple examples:
- If Leo sits in your work situation, you may be asked to train someone, lead a project or become the person others come to for advice.
- If Leo sits in your home situation, you may become the one who gives direction and values to the family.
- If Leo sits in your learning situation, you may want to study something with deeper meaning, not just for a certificate.
In the SALSA® Method of Astrology, Jupiter also aspects the 5th, 7th and 9th houses counted from where it sits (the house it sits in being the 1st). So its wisdom also touches those situations. Look at all of them, calmly.
A simple 3-step practice for this week
- Find Leo in your chart. Which house, which situation of life?
- Ask what it expects. Respect? Leadership? A chance to express yourself?
- Add Jupiter's behaviour. Where can you guide, teach or give good advice there, instead of only trying to be noticed?
Write one line for each step. That's it. No remedies, no fear, just understanding.
A note for business owners and teams
For business owners, this is a lovely time to move from "doing everything yourself" to "growing people who can do it."
- Pick one team member you can mentor this month.
- Share the why behind your decisions, not just the order.
- Let a good performer lead one small project.
- In meetings, ask more questions and give fewer instructions.
Every team has a star player. Jupiter in Leo asks: can your star player also become a coach? A business grows faster when knowledge moves from one person to many.
One small thing to remember
This first visit of Jupiter to Leo is a short one, and Jupiter comes back to Leo for a longer stay in 2027. So treat these months as a preview. Start the habit of guiding now, and it will be natural by the time the longer stay begins.
Darr nahi, samajh
